A Navy and Burgundy Colored Engagement Session Inspired by the Wedding Color Palette
This summertime engagement session at Drumheller in Alberta, Canada was designed to be a promise of what’s to come at the wedding, picking up the couple’s chosen color palette. The photos from this sess taken by photographer Lily Laidlaw are simply sublime and capture Haley and Jordan beautifully.
Sharing their first date in Pembroke, Ontario in 2016 over sushi and a movie was just the beginning for Haley and Jordan. Over the years they’ve come to realize their favorite things to do as a couple include exploring the outdoors, hiking with their dogs and camping.
So, let’s talk popping the question — the proposal story captured them in their element, outdoors with their dog. Haley tells us: “Jordan proposed on my 23rd birthday in Petawawa, Ontario, overlooking the water with our first dog, Whiskey. He asked if I wanted to take our dog for a walk, then stopped at the pergola by the water and asked to take a picture. Meanwhile he was recording it!”
