An Over-the-Top Romantic Engagement Shoot Brimming with Beautiful Colors and Blooms
It’s true what they say — mother knows best — and this is a sweet story that is evidence of that.
This adorable couple, engaged to be married, met thanks to a mom meddling. The bride-to-be explains, “He and I met at his old job. He used to work with my mom and she asked me to come to her office one day to have lunch with her while I was home from college. I showed up and a little while later he stopped by my mom’s office to talk to her and she introduced him to me. After a few more visits to my mom’s office, I left my phone number on a post-it note in his office and he ended up texting me as soon as he got off of work that day.”
They shared a first date over dinner in Downtown Frederick and spent some time walking around. Together they learned they love trying new things. Fast forward to their August engagement session with the brilliant Amanda MacPhee Studios at Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania, and it was over-the-top romantic with beautiful colors and blooms at every turn.
And we knew that if the way they met was sweet as could be, then the proposal story, of course, had to be even better, and we were right. The soon-to-be bride remembers: “My fiancé proposed to me on the morning of August 2nd. We were in Venice, Italy and were planning on visiting Saint Mark’s Basilica that morning, so we got ready and headed there. Once we arrived in Saint Mark’s Square, he walked me to the center of the square and proposed right there with the Basilica in the background.”
They plan on marrying in May for a spring wedding at a historic landmark in Maryland — The Liriodendron Mansion. All the details can be found in the save the dates and wedding invitations they picked out, which has been their favorite part of the wedding planning process so far! Of course, we cannot wait to see what it all looks like and wish them the best!
