This Wedding Exuded Romantic Glam Complete with a Sottero & Midgley Gown and a Chocolate Fountain Just ‘Cause

There’s nothing quite like the elegance of a wedding with glam vibes, exactly what Chelsea and Samuel’s wedding was all about! With a romantic glam theme, this summer 2023 wedding had it all and the proof is in the beautiful photos by Della Bella Photography.
THE DETAILS
With a focus on romance, the color palette consisted of desert rose and sandalwood, with the flowers of choice being red roses, a traditional and extremely romantic selection.
The cake was another romantic selection — red velvet cream cheese cake. The dessert paired beautifully with the chocolate fountain and gelato.
FASHION + BEAUTY
FASHION
For Chelsea, a big factor when dress shopping was her ability to move in it. “I also wanted to make sure that my dress was flattering on me but yet comfortable. I love to dance and that was a big consideration when dress shopping.” That led her to a stunning Maggie Sottero Designs’ Sottero and Midgley wedding gown — Barrett 2021. The dress is a modern sheath style with beaded lace. “The fit and the feel of my dress made me feel like a beautiful bride. The dress hugged me like it was made for me,” says Chelsea.
Her advice when dress shopping (which we couldn’t agree with more BTW): “Stick to your gut when selecting a dress and keep in mind they will ALL be beautiful, but go with what your heart tells you.”
As for her bridesmaids, Chelsea had a clear vision. She tells us, “For my bridesmaids I chose to go with satin. I’m a fan of satin and I almost considered getting a satin wedding dress but since I didn't, I was still able to have my girls in it. I love the color pink, so of course that was a plus! My MOH wore a different style dress and my bridesmaids matched. The sun reflecting on the dresses made them all look so stunning!”
The bridesmaid dresses were from The Dessy Group’s After Six Collection.
The groom and his groomsmen wore blue suits, but Samuel looked distinct with a vest and white satin tie, whereas his groomsmen went sans vest and desert rose satin ties.
BEAUTY
Emphasizing glamour, Chelsea wanted full on glam for her makeup and Hollywood waves for her wedding hair with a delicate hairpiece to complete the look.

CEREMONY + RECEPTION
For Chelsea’s walk down the aisle, the couple selected Shania Twain’s From This Moment On.
For the newlyweds’ reception entrance they went with a song that’s quickly becoming a classic: Forever by Chris Brown. And their first dance song was also romantic as could be: Growing Old With You by Restless Road.
It was all truly beautiful, but it was Chelsea’s father/daughter dance (+ the groom) that became the couples’ favorite memory. “There were so many wonderful memories but the one we will never forget is the father/daughter dance. My father and I worked hard for several weeks to come up with a fast-paced dance after our slow song. We surprised our guests with having Samuel join us for the dance! It was a nice twist to add to our dance. No one in our family knew we had the dance moves! We danced to Stayin’ Alive by Bees Gees. The guests went nuts! We really enjoyed being up there, dancing the night away.”
FROM CHELSEA WITH LOVE
“It's very rare to have friends & family gather in the same room, right? Take the time to admire all of your guests and appreciate the moment. The night does fly by. Laugh, cry, have fun, and try not to stress over the little things. What's important is that you & your partner have the best night of your life!
“Dance like no one is watching! Take a deep breath and enjoy the planning process. That's what makes it so fun because before you know it, your big day will be here!”
