A Quintessential Fall Wedding with Seasonal Beauty and Hot Apple Cider
There is little better than a seasonal wedding — except maybe when done to the nines, as was the case for this fall-themed wedding. Kathryn and Michael chose a beautiful sunshiny day in October to tie the knot, doing it in front of a backdrop of haybales, sunflowers, mums, pumpkins, and of course with a spiked hot apple cider as their signature drink. Every bit the seasonal beauty was captured by Della Bella Photography.
Kathryn and Michael picked colors that would work well together, opting to focus on hunter green (sported by the bridesmaids and dog ring bearer) and royal blue (for the groomsmen).
Picking up the flavors from the spiked hot apple cider drink, they then went with donuts in lieu of a wedding cake. The donut board was built by Michael’s father and featured apple cider and sprinkled donuts.
For the wedding flowers, they kept with a seasonal selection of sunflowers, eucalyptus, mums, goldenrod, dahlia, marigold, and hydrangea.
When asked about their favorite memories, Michael and Kathryn were quick to say it was all about family and friends. Michael explained, “My favorite memory of the day is having all my friends and family beside me at the ceremony while watching my now-wife walk down the aisle.”
And for Kathryn, she noted, “My favorite memory was getting ready with my mother, closest friends, and my dog before walking down the aisle with my father by my side. Seeing Michael at the end of the aisle on that beautiful October day is a moment I’ll never forget.”

Advice to Other Couples
Kathryn offers some pearls of wisdom from her own experiences: “If you're creative, go with your gut and do some things yourself. At times it can be stressful, but it's so worth it and saves you a bunch of money. Use Pinterest as much as possible! You can find so many ideas that you can play around with to really get the feel of what type of wedding you really want. Also, something that no one really talks about is that a couple of months before the wedding is when it's the most stressful. Just push through and have as much fun as possible, the time flies!
“Advice for your actual wedding day: Your wedding day is such a magical day that absolutely flies by. If anything goes wrong, don't harp on it and let it go. Remember to stick together during the reception and take the time to step back and look around at those who are there to celebrate you.”
