An Exclusive Sneak Peek at Thy Love The Atelier Couture by Professor Jimmy Choo’s 2023 Autumn/Winter Collection
Lovies, it is day 1 of NYBFW and this is a special edition of our usual weekly fashion posts. (P.S. They’ll be many more we’re sure!) As you know, we live for fashion, we love fashion, and today we’re kicking things off with a special sneak peek of Professor Jimmy Choo’s Thy Love Collection. You may let the drooling begin in just a moment as you scroll through the preview. But first let’s dive into the inspiration behind the beauty. . . .
The collection draws inspiration from Rabindranath Tagore’s Stray Birds and features a majestic blend of classic corset bodices, mermaid and A-Line silhouettes with royal train designs. Luxurious embroidery technology is used throughout the collection to create a stunning aesthetic from literature, art and romanticism.
In Tagore's eyes, the world needs love, in life needs more love. Just as he wrote in his book, Stray Birds: “Let this be my last word, that I trust thy love.” Love is like a beautiful poem with grass, fireflies, fallen leaves, birds, mountains and rivers. Everything in nature is endowed with spirituality, as if the sky courts with the sea, the birds bill and coo with clouds. This anthropomorphic description is a meaningful interpretation of love, beautiful and romantic, deep and great. Inspired by Stray Birds, The Atelier Couture presents 2023 Autumn/Winter Bridal Collection, Thy Love, through imagery of nature. The extravagant and magnificent bridal feature is full of a natural and romantic atmosphere from the writing style of the Stray Birds by Rabindranath Tagore.
