Proof that Sometimes the First Wedding Dress You Buy is Not “The One”— – Wedding Day Match

Proof that Sometimes the First Wedding Dress You Buy is Not “The One”—and the First Wedding Featured Using a Content Creator’s Work

There is just something so raw and emotive about a content creator’s work and when paired with a photographer’s more edited gallery, uhh wedding memory dreams come true! For us there’s truly nothing better. Luckily for us Lindsey and Kory must agree because they had both and shared all the beautiful imagery from their modern classic wedding.

DETAILS

Married in November, at Georgia’s Koury Farms, they stuck to a classic color palette of black and white, adding pops of green for some color. The flowers were ever-popular white roses, making everything look extra romantic.

Oh and if we’re talking romantic, they had a small, personal heart cake with vintage piping — très adorable, IKR ! — in lieu of a traditional wedding cake and donuts.

So as Lindsey tells it, the story of her wedding dress is a funny story and a semi-last minute decision if you could believe that. It wasn’t the first dress she bought and was intending on wearing, either. She really wanted a dress she was comfortable in, something she could wear all day and night and feel good in the whole time. But that wasn’t what she got. “I bought a dress about 10 months before my wedding, right after I got engaged. I was caught up in the excitement, but realized after a few months that I didn’t really love it. It was heavy and I was constantly looking for a dress I could change into for the reception. I finally told myself I didn’t want to be looking for alternative options and I wanted to love my dress so I went out a month before the wedding and found my actual dress that was totally meant for me,” she shares. So what was her actual dress? Essence of Australia, Style D3634.

The liquid crepe column dress screams luxe, but also exudes clean simplicity and contemporary sophistication. The strapless neckline naturally unfolds into a pleated and draped bodice with a sweeping train. It’s the perfect wedding dress for the modern bride, a fitting style for a bride who wanted a modern classic wedding. And paired with those gloves, it was *chef’s kiss*.

And from her experience, Lindsey offers this gem: “If I could give another piece of advice to brides, it’s to go dress shopping a few times before you make a decision and don’t buy one so far out from your wedding. I think 6 months in advance is a great time to buy. All dresses are beautiful, but you will know when it’s the one. AND if you don’t like the dress you have, DO NOT WEAR IT. Do not be miserable on your wedding day. Even if that means going with someone cheap, but makes you feel beautiful.”

Now for her bridesmaids, the story is a bit different. She wanted them to love their dresses, so she let them pick whatever style they wanted from Azazie, as long as it was black (a very popular decision for bridesmaid dresses these days).

For Lindsey’s hair and makeup, that story is much simpler — she wanted her hair to look fun and flirty with light glam makeup.

CEREMONY + RECEPTION

Lindsey’s favorite memory comes from the ceremony where she loved walking down the aisle to the man of her dreams while I Guess I’m in Love by Clinton Kane played.

For Lindsey and Kory’s reception entrance, they selected Humble by Kendrick Lamar and then shared a first dance to Beautiful Crazy by Luke Combs.
