Stop and Stare at These Bridal Portraits Outside Houmas House
Bridal portrait sessions are the ultimate pre-wedding shoot. It’s as simple as things get (a bride, their dress, and bouquet), but when done right you’d never know it. As the ultimate nod to the bridal experience, this session with bride Madison by photographer Dee Olmstead at Louisiana’s Houmas House tells a story all of its own.
What I love about Madison’s portraits was how comfortable she appears in front of the camera. Whether that’s because she truly is or thanks to Dee’s masterful guidance, Madison captivates with her poses. She is bold and yet playful and makes the session entirely her own. Each photo is truly stunning and makes you wonder what the wedding day photos look like!
When you have full Bridal hair and makeup done, there’s no reason not to get up close and personal with the camera.
Suggestion: Show off your wedding dress, play with the fabric, allowing yourself to feel comfortable in it as Madison does. Those in-motion shots are positively gorgeous.
And don’t forget to work that flower bouquet into some shots.
